Millennium Development Goals

IThe Viet Nam Development Goals (VDGs) are an adaptation of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) adopted at the United Nations Millennium Summit in 2000 by 189 Member States who pledged to reach the eight MDGs by 2015.

Vietnam’s Development Goals are aimed at the country’s specific conditions and provide a road map and vision of a country free from poverty and hunger, with universal education, better health, environmental sustainability, freedom, justice and equality for all.

Through programs run and funded by Church World Service, CWS Vietnam is committed to aiding Vietnam in achieving the eight VDGs by 2015 by providing support both in the form of resources and experience.
